 The Singidunum University is an academic institution formed on 17 January 2005, the day when it obtained approval to its Study of Justification of Founding by decision of the Republic Council for Development of University Education № 612-00-663/2004-04.
Within the faculties of Singidunum University are organized three-year and four-year basic studies, one-year graduate studies, specialist and two-year M.A. and Ph.D. studies. Educational and study programmes are defined similarly to the well-known European faculties and institutions of higher education, wherein all previous experiences of our country were employed. Educational and study programmes are brought in accord with the principles of the Bologna Declaration through introduction of the European system of transferring the ECTS-credits (European Credit Transfer System).
The practical exercises in the subject of informatics (in all three of the founding faculties) are brought in accord with the programme for acquiring ECDL (European Computer Driving License) certificate in the framework of European initiative for standardization of training and testing of computer skills.
The student of integrated University living outside Belgrade, or having been for some other reason prevented from attending the lectures, also have the possibility to study via Internet (Distance Learning System).
The Singidunum University collaborates with institutions of education abroad. Besides common master degree programme with the Lincoln University from US, there are agreements concerning collaboration with the British Council and Servants Institute in the matter of English and Spanish language eeducation for students of our University.
The faculties and higher schools of the Singidunum University are attended by about 6,000 students. The University has 12,000 m2 of high-quality space, equipped with necessary computer and internet infrastructure, audio-video and other outfit needed for complete realization of educational activities: 10 amphitheaters, 20 lecturing halls, 5 computer and Internet centers, center of foreign languages, library, cabinet for consultations, bank, dental ordination, student coffee-club and various other contents. As of 10 May 2005, the Singidunum University is acknowledged member of the Community of Universities of Serbia (ZUS).
