Welcome to the Faculty of Media and Communications.

Each moment in history has to provide a response of its own to the pressing demands of its days. Languages of our time are communication and information. Pedagogical and theoretical need for studies of communication has originated in the academe out of desire to accommodate to fast developing new professions. The syllabi in the domain of communication are envisioned to be the spaces of confrontations and dialogue between various disciplines: film, theater, press, political advertising, marketing, diplomacy, pop music. This faculty will be the place where one is invited to investigate the boundaries of knowledge alongside the most provocative and creative thinkers of our society. I am convinced that you are entering the search for knowledge with a firm resolution, enthusiasm and, what is most important, with curiosity.

My hope is that the years and time spent with us on this Faculty you will use not only for intellectual maturing, but as an opportunity and chance to develop your talents and to affirm your identity as individuals, as well as members of the community of this faculty. Profiting from knowledge that we give to you, you are expected to uplift and perfect your mind; on the other hand, it is our duty to recognize your qualities and potentials, and to help you to bring them about.
